I am moving into a new home that already have a security system installed, I just want to activate it. Who should I use? I have heard of Brinks and ADT but have no idea if they are good. Any suggestions? Or should I stick with Brinks or ADT? Thanks!

To be honest it depends on the level of security system you have.
None are better than the particular person you have at the call center and how they handle the situation. There are a few companies that guarantee a certain response time. I would go with them.
I prefer leaving a half dozen starved weasels loose in my house.
…I like my "security system" a lot… What Mr. Smith didn’t know about security….Mr. Wesson did.
Brinks and ADT are both national companies. Between the two companies, I feel that ADT is far better. There are also many local and independent alarm companies that can often do a better job at a lower price.
I would check with your friends and neighbors to see who they use. You can also look in the local telephone directory under "burglar alarm systems".
One word of caution: if your new house came with a security system, there is some chance that the equipment used is "proprietary" to a specific company and can’t be used by other companies. For example, if Brinks installed the original equipment, you would probably need to use Brinks to activate and monitor the system. The only way around this would be to replace the control panel and possibly some of the other equipment such as the keypads.
