My boyfriend uses my debit card every now and again to withdraw money. The last time he asked to borrow money was last weekend sometime. I’ve got a pending charge for the typical amount he withdraws () from the same location as always and when I called the teller she said it is most likely from late last night or today sometime. When I confronted my boyfriend, he completely denied it. I’m at work, my debit card is more than likely at home.. although he denies seeing it. I’m just wondering - is it a huge process to have them check security cameras to see who may have used my card?? Does it cost me anything? Do I have to file charges if he’s caught?
If it is him, it’s probably going to lead to us breaking up… so I’m really curious.
They review the film with law enforcement when charges are filed or investigated… not because you want to bust someone for lying.
There are privacy issues with the pack of people that used the ATM legally that dont really need you looking at them….and invading their privacy..
The cameras are for them - not for you. Allowing anyone else to use your debit card is really, really unwise. If you gave him the card and your PIN number, you have no right to subsequently "file charges."
