Going to a sparks game on Aug 4th, anything I need to know first?

Hi, my name is BreAnna, I’m fourteen, and my summer camp is taking us on a field trip to a Sparks game at the Staples Center on Aug 4th, it’s the first time I’ve ever been to the Staples Center, or any Sporting Event! And I just wanted to know about some of the things that I CAN bring into the Center, and stuff like that. Here’s a list of things I would like to get a heads up about.

Because I am going on a field trip, everything like food and tickets are free, but I may want to buy something like a Sparks Teddy Bear for my mom, are the gift shops expensive?

I am a growing girl, man! I LOVE to eat, I heard there’s a McDonald’s around the Staples Center but I would like to know if it’s AROUND it or IN IT, because I know that I can’t bring food in there.

I have a camera/video camera, it’s non-professional, just a Sony Cyber-Shot, will that be allowed in the Center? Because, being a part of this Summer Camp let’s the kids be able to have a little pregame fun with the Sparks players, and I would like to be able to get it on video.

I heard the lower bowl is , on this day because it’s camp day, my sister (she’s not a kid she’s 33 years old) would like to attend, should I speak to the Guest Services about getting seats close to each other, or my Camp Staff who are arranging the project?

I’ve also heard that I can’t bring bags into the Staples Center, well I have a messenger bag, you know? The laptop carrier ones (I’m not bringing the laptop, it’s just for storing my phone and what not) will I be allowed to bring it or should I just leave it home and have everything STRAPPED TO MY WAIST?!

Are the Security Guards any good? Because I’ve heard they’re just rent-a-cops who side with the home team and have the guest team’s fans booted out for no reason. I’m only asking because I LOVE the Sparks and the Lakers, but if there was ever a huge issue could we rely on them to keep us safe? Or just be sure to get a lesson of tai-jitsu instead?

That’s about it, thanks for your time! And please, if you haven’t had any experience with the Staples Center or any NBA or WNBA games, I’d appreciate it if you didn’t leave comments like "The Sparks suck!" or a simple "No" I need I-N-F-O-R-M-A-T-I-O-N. Thank You Very Much!

I don’t think you can bring food in. Bring like $50.
