Home Security Systems – Frontpoint vs Alarm.com or any others out there? Who's the best home security company?

I am looking for a home security system and my route has taken me in many directions. Overall from reviews, ADT seems like a bad choice and tough to deal with. For all the reviews on the net everything seems to point to Frontpoint & Alarm.com. I am a smart phone geek and would like that access. This will be my first home security system so I am definitely a novice in this field. Any help, opinions, reviews or advise is extremely appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Personally I recommend LifeShield home security. Low cost, great mobile apps, and easy setup. You can check out some reviews here: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=lifeshield%20san%20diego&hl=en&prmd=imvns&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.,cf.osb&biw=1920&bih=955&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl

my dad’s been considering it for a while now, with rising crime in Irvine and all (as if1 there’s no crime in Irvine)

as usual he’s shopping for hte cheapest "best" protection. by that i mean a company that offers everything for a low low monthly fee. that’s too good of a deal to be true.
that almost always mean they offer everything except customer service on things that matter, like coming to your place when someone’s broken in.

    anyway his list:
ADT (my aunt/uncle used them since 1966 at their house in Long Beach. Long Beach is a place where there’s been a steady increase of violent crime, their neighborhood was great in 1970 but now it’s not safe to walk to the store)
National Security Services (we use them as a sub at work- secure job sites and etc)
    Honeywell Security
    American Alarm Systems
Guardian Security Services (IMO it’s the best fro the buck)

for me I find home security systems only as a backup to what were are granted by the Constitution: buy a gun, learn to use it, and protect yourself. that’s what the 2nd amendment is for. cheaper on the long run too. guns are one time fees. ammo is something you’d buy as much as you need. there is no installation services or monthly fees, it’ll easily be cheaper than a security company about about 1/2 year.
also with a gun you have protection immediately, rather than 5-15 minutes for the cops/alarm company.

    First,
I think you should evaluate the need for a place that you want to enter home security
I have found over the internet ..
These matters should be taken into account when putting the alarm .

    •Sensor Detectors
    •Contact Point
    • Pressure Mats
    •Panic Buttons
    •Remote Controls
    • Strobe Lights
    • Sirens

Well, I’m not very professional about this, but my father set up home security system two weeks ago, he bought a IP camera and some other security device, and all these items are bought from Accessbuy.com, I can give you the exact links here:
