ADT home security systems are one of the best and most reputable systems on the market. You will often find that you may get a discount with your insurance payments. So if the monitoring costs are a problem then save on your insurance payments and the two will cancel each other out. Its like have free monitored home security!!

Andyj makes a point on ADT, However, I have found your small dealers offer more for less. ADT has the lease program, which is ok if you can’t swing the cost of a system, (from $500 on up). But monitoring is where it adds up. So a $900 system might cost you $3500 After the lease term is up. Like cars, ownership is better.
So my recomendation is GE. Their concord systems are very good. they make their systems for wired or wireless or both together. Easy to program and the bonus is the GE name, so reliability is a plus.
Another is if you like wireless, a small but powerful system is made by ademco. It is called LYNX. It has like 25-30 wireless zone and 1-2 hardwire zones. it is a selfcontained system and boy is it LOUD!!!!!!!! piercing.
