I am working in a big medical company right now and just hate my job so bad. I have my security license and have had if for a while, but cant find a job doing security.I was thinking of computing back to the city and leaving the car at home. I would heve to take Metro Norht everyday/ But my question is it worth it. I been at my other job for 7 yrs and I tell you am gong to lose my mind. I work in a call center.. I like security and really enjoy it. I do pt time up here in orange county and love it. but only pt .. whats the trick in getting a good Security job?

Obtain a concealed carry license for a weapon and a state license if one is required for a security position. Different companies have different hiring requirements for armed or unarmed positions. For armed most will require either previous security, military, or police experience. The standards for unarmed security positions will not be as strict. If you have upper level education, even an associates, it will help tremendously. Start with the large companies and work your way down. There are a lot of Mom and Pop companies who handle a couple of contracts and try to make as much money as possible out of them. That means you might have trouble getting paid.
