I have security cameras at my Home. I want to watch it from my computer at work or my laptop when I travel on Vacation. Any ideas on how to do it?

Yep…I know how to do it. Go to http://www.stealthprotector.com/visec-surveillance-software.htm
If you already have a security camera, hidden camera, or Nanny Cam, then all you need is the Visec from StealthProtector.com. It allows you to see your cameras images from any computer in the world OR your cell phone. It actually alerts you on your cell phone when there is any movement, and it starts recording. It is so awesome for home, house, or business surveillance. Watch your home, office, or business from any computer in the world. http://www.StealthProtector.com

py software active web cam http://www.programurl.com/active-web cam.htm or you can buy a webcam which has this kind of features installed within the software. I use them both

I THINK MOST LOCAL COMPUTER STORES CAN SET UP YOUR COMPUTER TO DO THAT.

You’d need to leave the computer on during your vacation and download (or buy) a server program. Do a Google search for things like ‘turn computer into home security’, etc.

There is software you can purchase that will allow you to connect to a CCTV (Closed Circuit Surveillance) camera and allow you to view what it is capturing. Some of the software, depending on how sophisticated it is, will even allow you to control the positions, focus, and zooming of the camera.

Look for video surveillance that enables a video camera to be remotely monitored and controlled over a network or website.

Here’s an example of a professional-grade video server from Sony (I’m sure there’s many brands who make something similar): http://bssc.sel.sony.com/BroadcastandBusiness/DisplayModel?m=10001&p=14&sp=155&id=80427&navid=video_servers_encoders

However, I’m not sure there is anything for regular home-use that is within reasonable price.
