If you are a member of a union I would get in touch and let them take up your case. If not, I would see a solicitor because I would hazard a guess and say that this Gestapo type boss is making the rules up to suit herself and in this day and age is probably breaking the law.

nowadays we have rules for the bosses as well, thank God

that doesn’t seem right as it will leave you financially worse off

check directly with the personnel department. it should be written into their policy

and if this is correct ask who would be responsible if you had an accident on the way home . also i would check the cut off time , would it have happened if you left 5 minutes before your shift ended ?
