Well the owners were obviously not living there at the time, so who would have fed the big cats?

Historic homes should be heated,made comfy & used for the homeless genuine people.

PS…Did they also steal the cognac?

Good idea, my home is historic, I think it almost as old as you LB.
I would love a big cat, but the puppy will suffice for now….

My neighbours have a scary fat ginger tomcat. I wouldn’t mess with him. He chases after you if you walk on the path to his owners house!

This house was for sale and featured recently in the newspapers including the Guardian as ‘the most expensive repossession’, that was a smart move wasn’t it to draw it to everyone’s attention to it. Presumably a repossessed house cannot afford a security guard, big cats or not, so the thieves took advantage of this. But really with the house on the market at 1.65 million, £200,000 worth of damage should be repairable. The house would have been better off squatted though, idealistic hippies usually look after properties better than thieves.

Yes; most definitely. Dogs always give the show away but cats have a unique and clever way of catching their prey… They are the purrfect companion for any home no matter of its wealth and I’m sure they could survive on ‘intruder’ food….lol…
