Ok well my neighbor is a mall security guard at the mall. We’ve known each other for over ten years. Anyways, he needs to make so many "arrests" a month to get a mall discount. Basically, he’d get 10% off at any store in the mall. He needs one more to meet the quota, but the month is ending soon, and he only works more days this month. For tomorrow, he wants to know if I could let him "arrest" me to meet his quota. He said the process would last about four hours. Here’s how it would go:
I’d have to be at the mall at 12:00 noon. This is when the chief of security has to leave for a meeting. I’d then sit by a bench right next to the mall security office. (The bench is not covered by security cameras). He’d then slip me a pair of handcuffs and watch from a distance. I’d handcuff myself behind my back (I know how to properly). After that, he’d check the cuffs, double lock them, and come up to me and say something like "Alright, time to come in." I’d be led through and Put into my own holding cell. I’d wait there four about four hours, while he “books me.” By the way, I’d be cited for something like loitering. I’d be reported, but have no criminal record, and this would not follow me anywhere. At 4:00, when the desk lady goes for a smoke break, he’d release and I’d go home. When he gets back, I’d get , plus he said he’d buy me stuff under his discount as long as I pay him back. So should I do it?
Absolutely not!
Isn’t there a possiblity that this COULD end up on your record?
Besides, it’s a bit creepy to think of a security guard commiting such a scheme. In essence, he’s stealing from his company. Isn’t he supposed to be promoting following the rules?
Good luck on finding a better way of earning a little money! In four hours, you could mow several lawns!
As the owner of a Private Security company, I was going to give you an informative and serious answer to this question. Something told me I should look at your other questions first, and I’m glad I did. You seem to have an unhealthy obsession with being handcuffed to earn money. Maybe you should talk to someone about your serious need for attention.
gee, that seems like a dumb idea to me. if pretending to be arrested suits you, or if you and he think thsat its ok to bilk his employer, then go for it. its unethical and i would hope that you would know this already.
NO… getting arrested is not a joke..not a game..and he would be in bigger trouble if you guys get caught..and give me a brerak 10% so he will save $10 if he spends $100 so he will be spending $90 plus the tax on the $100… not worth it..Plus if he is going to buy you stuff with his discount…will he really be making money? And where does the $50 come in? Is he paying you that as well? Are you guys like 12 or something? Sounds like maybe it is time for you to get a job and take responsibility
