Should the government control everything in the UK?

I mean everything!

The government should plan and enforce healthy diets to keep obesity low

Home schooling should be illegal and private schools abolished to ensure children get a good education.

Water should be fluoridated and vaccinations should be compulsory; refusal to be vaccinated will result in imprisonment.

Also the chip implants (the ones that go in your hand) sound like a good idea because with them fraud and identity theft will be wiped out.

All business should be government owned and the government should be allowed to listen to our phone calls, read emails/IMs.

Tobacco, alcohol and unhealthy foods should be outlawed with a punishment of life imprisonment if caught using, making or even looking at images of tobacco.

Also I think ALL homes should be installed with CCTV and anyone who refuses should be arrested on the spot!

Guns should be outlawed, religion should be banned and atheism should be encouraged (not forced; just encouraged)

What do you all think? I think all these will make the UK a happier, healthier place to live; safer too!

My goodness Elle you really have swallowed the New Labour story hook line and sinker!

The infant morality story is complete nonsense, the rate has fallen consistently since 1970.

Whatever else you think of the Conservatives, it is undeniable that New Labour inherited the strongest economy this country had had for decades.

The problem is that Mr Brown (not unlike King Canute) really thought he had cracked the economic cycle. So instead of acting prudently during the good years he just spent and spent.

All countries have had to borrow like crazy in the current reccession (not Labours fault by the way) but unlike other countries (e.g. Germany) we have very little reserves, so our debt is through the roof. it’s actually worse than Greece!

    Facts my Dear, just facts.

Oh and that stupid question. Of course it wouldn’t, read 1984 by George Orwell and grow up.

    I think that’s nuts.

Liberal? I think you mean communism! Places with that level of dictatorship already exist.

No matter what you ban, people will always find another way to rebel against the authorities. We’re human.

You forgot, there’s one more, the government gets ALL your income.

Over time it might actually lead to a happier UK. Because we would all just be a bunch of robots incapable of any independent thought and blind to any problems.

£500 a minute by capturing cars doing 40 mph while approaching traffic lights which are on green. the thieving robbing ba$tards.

It may sound like a utopia to you but, to the rest of us it sounds like hell. We are very complex beings, what makes one person happy certainly doesn’t make the next person happy. Hence, your one size fits all approach doesn’t work.

The one biggest flaw in your logic is that this system will be run by people. People are easily corruptible and when given so much power it’s very hard to get rid of them.

  9. old grumpy says:

I would’nt want to live in your world my friend. How can you possibly think by handing all controls to the idiots in government, this country has already become a mental institution under this government.
However I give you full marks for your sense of "humour".

  10. Make Britain Communist says:

    YES!
