static ip? I have security cameras at store…and i want to view them at home? how do i access my router?

i have a wireless router, Netopia. Ok…after i get my static ip …how do i config my router so when i type in my ip at home…i connect directly to the DVR…instead of my router home setting? do i need to allow remote access to it..i just cant figure out how to direct it to my DVR? when i type in ip address it goes to router home settings? any ideas?

    In your router, you forward the port your DVR uses to the DVR. http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm lists the routers. Pick any program to get screen shots of your router – substitute the port or ports your DVR uses.

    To make sure that you can get to the router even if the IP changes, use a dynamic DNS service (they’re free) like noip.net or dyndns.com.
