Strange colour problem with windows vista?

So today I installed a few updates for Windows Vista using the Windows Update tool. Most of the updates were just things like "Security Update for Windows Vista" and stuff. But after I restarted my computer after I had downloaded these, the colour hue on everything is very bright. It’s hard to describe, but basically all the colours on my monitor are very bright and distracting.

I’m just wondering if there’s anyway to tone down the hue on Windows Vista (Home Premium)

    Yes, there is. You right click on the desktop, and one of the choices should be "personalize". Click on that, then click on "Windows color and appearance". Then click on "Show Color Mixer". From there you can customize the hue, saturation, and brightness.

    Another way to do that is to open the Control Panel, then go to Personalize, then just do as explained above.
