What is the best CCTV?

I am looking to buy a CCTV system for my home. It must have enough memory to register images for at least 1 or 2 weeks (if that exists). I thought I was living in quiet residential area but some youngsters have decided to spoil the place but breaking into cars, breaking side mirrors, kicking lights, burning tyres etc.
Can you think of a CCTV system with enough memory and price?

    I know you can get some that either come through the TV or computer but normally they don’t have recording facilities and only one or two cheapo cameras like a web cam, but I don’t think that’s what your looking for.

    So really it’s going to be cheap and nasty or a professional job.
