The second model with the AMD processor has the following advantages:
More RAM 3GB vs 2 GB
More storage 250GB vs 200GB
Larger Screen – 17" (1440×900) vs 15.4" (1280×800)
Both have digital memory card readers (good if you have a digital camera).
Both have Vista Home Premium. The first is 32-bit, the second doesn’t say. Not all software supports 64-bit OS so that could be the deal breaker.
All-in-all, the second is probably the most capable and best choice.
